Learning Curve has been commissioned by Learning and Teaching Scotland to produce a major new resource for Scottish education.

Learning About Learning will provide an interactive online resource which brings together established and newly emerging theorires about how people learn.  The new resource – which will form part of the LTS Glow Network - is designed to inform professional thinking and practice about learning and teaching, and encourage education professionals to reflect on their practice and apply new and emerging developments in learning.

We are currently capturing video exemplifications of school practice, from early years through to primary, secondary and special schools, covering key areas of learning and teaching. These include:

• Intelligence
• Emotions and feelings
• Motivation
• Learning styles
• Memory
• Thinking skills
• Creativity
• Collaborative learning
• Assessment for learning
• ICT and learning
• Metacognition

The resource also includes the update of Teaching for Effective Learning, together with research summaries and teacher development materials.  Learning About Learning will be available in April 2007.
