Personal Learning Planner

Picasso reflects best practice and national advice on personal learning planning and incorporates many of the key features associated with formative assessment. The program provides support for all pupils studying towards SQA examinations at the following levels:

• Standard Grade
• Access 3
• Intermediate I and II
• Higher
• Advanced Higher

Over 200 SQA courses have been broken down into key topics, themes and core skills in order pupils can evaluate their strengths and growth points. The program also facilitates the use of formative assessment techniques such as learning logs and traffic lighting. By reviewing the learning intentions associated with each element of their courses, pupils are able to identify personal learning targets quickly and easily.

The result is a highly individualised learning plan which charts the curricular targets and personal aspirations for each learner.

Study Planner

Picasso contains a powerful Study Planning tool that supports all pupils preparing for SQA examinations. A personalised revision schedule containing information about courses, units and topics may be produced quickly and easily.

Pupils are able to record and monitor personal assessment information such as prelim scores, NABS and end of unit tests. Picasso also contains advice about how to prepare effectively for exams, together with helpful tips on sitting exams.
