Answer

This is a bug in version 1.0.0 of The Hot Seat. It occurs when the player clicks the close (X) button in the manager's office or board room screens and then chooses Yes to save changes.

This has been fixed in version 1.0.1 which can be downloaded from here.

To install version 1.0.1, download and unzip the above file. Copy the file THS.DXR to The Hot Seat installation folder.
